Rick Russell
President
Rick manages the day-to-day operations of Commandtext, including project scheduling and planning, financial performance, and personnel/ resource management. Rick has twenty years experience in electronic publishing, starting as manager of the CD-ROM/Online Development Group for CCH, Inc. He won the prestigious Oakleigh Thorne Award in 1995 for spearheading the massive data validation effort when CCH migrated its publishing systems from an IBM mainframe environment to a Unix platform. As president of Advanced Data Engineering, Inc., and later as Director of Professional Services for Softquad and Corel, he guided the successful completion of long-term engagements for enterprise clients such as Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, and Cisco. Rick earned his BA degree from UCLA, and JD from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.
Ari Susal
Consultant/Principal
Ari is a structured information consultant who works with enterprise
publishers to optimize the ROI in their content. From Government/Legal to
Tech Pubs to eLearning, Ari works with clients to design and deploy
next-generation content management solutions that are practical, reliable,
and that markedly increase productivity. He has led multi-phased engagements
for clients such as Microsoft, HP, Cisco, and CTB/McGraw-Hill. Ari got his
start in SGML/XML technologies at CCH, Inc. in 1994, where he architected and
developed CCH's Daily Document Updates, for which he received an Excellence
in Action award. These automated systems process nightly editorial news
feeds and continue to be used to this day. Ari holds a BA Degree from the
University of California at San Diego as well as a JD degree from Santa Clara
University School of Law.

Christopher White
Consultant/Principal
Chris advises clients how to maximize ROI on their data assets, whether
currently structured or not. He was instrumental in the design and
implementation of an easy-to-use Word-to-XML system that is still in use
today. He has worked on structured content projects for enterprise level
clients such as Microsoft, HP, and Cisco. Chris has over fifteen years of
experience in systems and application design, working for various companies
in a variety of industries. This includes extensive experience with
SGML/XML, designing DTDs, writing parsers, content management systems
integration, and implementing Java Server Pages and DHTML applications. Chris
has a BA degree in English and is fluent in numerous programming languages,
database languages, and networks.
